[ Emmet laughs softly, taking the time to untangle Joltik enough from his little ball of string self so he can actually follow through on that. ]

[He returns only a few minutes later, brandishing paper and a pen in one hand, waving it in the air as he approaches.]

And Mr Conductor, too! [To Joltik, now visible:] Hello, my good sir!

[Hands Emmet both pen and paper!]

[ Joltik gives him a happy little chirp! Emmet chuckles, taking the pen and paper and moves to put them down on a flat surface. ]

He is happy to see you. As in actually see you.

[He waits patiently, giving Joltik a nod of his head.]

I can say the same. Does the Conductor have his own strings, by the way?

[Can Sholmes make any out?]

Oh, he absolutely does.

[ At that, Emmet tugs a little gold string connecting himself and Joltik. Most of them are yellow, with a couple gold, one pink, and one very vibrant purple thread. ]

Mr Conductor has a pink thread?

[What. Cute.]

Oh! Yes. I assume it goes to Clover — Arthur's companion.

[ Joltik dips his head at that, chirping shyly. ]

I've not had the pleasure of meeting Clover! Now I must make an effort, I think.

[ The Conductor presses his face against Emmet's neck, causing him to laugh a bit more. ]

[ Joltik chirps at that, hopping off Emmet's shoulder. He takes the pen from him in his mouth and draws a little squiggle on the paper.

Oh! [His train of thought regarding Joltik's crush... hereby derailed. Sholmes holds up a finger, with so much string attached.] Make it out to: "Herlock Sholmes, my favorite consulting detective!"

[ The Conductor lets out a garbled chirp!, pen still in his mouth as he does more squiggles. ]

He is writing it.

Excellent. I cannot wait to show this off. [He's already said that, but he'll say it again.] Autographs aside, Iris will be stunned to hear all about Pokemon, you know.

It is interesting to me to see how other people react to them. I have been greeting new arrivals with the Conductor on my shoulder.

Have you? Have they been shocked? Impressed? Intrigued?

[They could not possibly be frightened of such a cute little guy.]

Mostly those, yes. Only a couple have been actually afraid of the Conductor.

[ Joltik chirps sadly at that as he finishes, dropping the pen and hopping back up to Emmet's shoulder. ]
