It is interesting to me to see how other people react to them. I have been greeting new arrivals with the Conductor on my shoulder.

Mostly those, yes. Only a couple have been actually afraid of the Conductor.

Ah, yes... I remember Mrs Forger looking utterly overwrought when we put on our concert. But she did try to be polite, so credit where it is due.

She does try very hard to be kind and polite, except when she is throwing a man into the sand. Still, I believe once she understands that Mr Conductor is a good friend and stalwart companion, there will be nothing to fear.
